Ni sa Bula Vinaka and warm greetings! I take this opportunity to welcome you to
the world wide web home of the High Commission of
Firstly, I hope that anyone visiting this site (whether as a student, likely visitor, potential investor, or another Pacific Islander missing the warmth of the South Seas) finds its contents not only informative but also interesting, and, that in the process of browsing through the pages of this site, he/she gets to learn a bit more about my island home, Fiji, and the Pacific islands in general. Secondly, given the growing number of young Fijian men and women and their respective families residing in the United Kingdom and in Europe as a result of their recruitment into national, regional or international institutions in the region, I hope that our internet presence will improve our delivery of those consular services they may require as Fiji citizens. Thirdly, I wish to thank my staff in developing this website, which, as it evolves, and as we develop our knowledge and expertise, will, I hope, provide for our people in Fiji an information window into the United Kingdom, Europe and beyond, that they can use to forge and strengthen alliances directly with individuals, companies, organisations and institutions in their attempt to expand their network and output. Finally, in order for this Mission to meet some of the objectives mentioned above, I will welcome your views and opinions on how we can best take advantage of this information highway.
